...I'm writing to ask you to pass along our sincere thanks to all who attended the Convention last week. Everyone was incredibly helpful and made us feel a part of the family. Gabe and Paula went above and beyond the call of duty in mentoring us and answering innumerable questions without complaint. We made a journey to Columbus on Saturday to visit their store and continue to enjoy our newfound friends and benefits from their experience.
We would never have undertaken this adventure (purchasing a store) without the support of the Association and also appreciate all of the time and energy that the two of you have devoted to us, from the very first phone call that I made, at Tealla's suggestion.
Thanks again to everyone who has helped us choose this path. We hope to be able to return the favor to someone in the future. Anyone ever in the Cullman area is cordially invited to visit us at Monograms Plus of the Warehouse District!
Sincerely,
Margaret Hamm & Mark Hamm
As a charter member of the Monograms America Association, we would hate to think where our business would be without the knowledge and support we’ve gained though the Association. We were introduced to the major national gift markets, which we now attend twice a year. Attending these markets, along with the Associations Conventions that are held during the gift markets, provides us a networking opportunity to find and learn about new products that we couldn’t get anywhere else. It’s like having a hundred people shopping and looking for products for our store. We learn what works for other stores and what doesn’t. We learn about the latest trends early on and the other members are extremely helpful in sharing tips and ideas. Our vendor- shopping forum during our convention offers us discounts from ‘tried and true’ vendors that other association stores have recommended. These discounts more than pay for the expense of our trip. In addition to learning about new products, through the association we have access to a wealth of knowledge about embroidery, engraving, sublimation, painting with paint pens and printing invitations.

We began our monogramming business in our home as a part time enterprise. After struggling for about a year we discovered Monograms America and applied for membership. The association was beginning to expand membership to include store front, home operators and strip center members. We were approved for membership. We attended our first convention and market. We found ready acceptance, friendly people and a wealth of information. The support of the membership in our efforts to move into a retail location was fantastic. Without the help of the association, we would probably still be in our home or possibly not in business at all. We are proud to be members of this wonderful group.
